HISTORY OF HUYONHUYON HS

The birth of Huyonhuyon High School happened on March 2, 2004 when a Deed of Donation was executed by and between the donor and the donee represented by spouses Engr. Efraim Clareza and Adelfa O. Clareza and Mrs. Preciosa D. Dela Vega as DepED representative respectively. And of the same year it became the sixth secondary learning institution in the municipality of Tigaon. It started operating with only 112 enrollees. Since then the number of students increased every year and in School Year 2012-2013 it reached to Four Hundred Eight (408) students.
The school is named after its barangay where it is located.
The PTA and the Barangay Council exerted much effort in the establishment of this school. They painstakingly offered their full support together with the school head, teachers and other concerned stakeholders especially the Lot Donor. The Municipal and the Provincial governments are continuously extending assistance by providing honorarium to Locally-Assisted Teachers, constructing classrooms and other support necessary for the operation of the school.
The school was first headed by Mrs. Preciosa D. Dela Vega, a teacher from La Salvacion National High School as Teacher-In-Charge. From 2004 up to 2008 she was able to transform the school into a complete learning institution until she was replaced by Mr. Hernani A. Mayor, a Head Teacher from Sipocot National High School, due to her promotion as Principal-I in one of the schools in Ragay, Camarines Sur. Mr. Mayor served for one school year and was transferred later to other school also to assume a principal position.

While waiting for his replacement, Mrs. Alma S. Libang, a promising classroom teacher, acted as Officer-In-Charge. Mrs. Libang served for seven months until Mr. Crespin S. Adayo, Jr., TIC of PanaganHigh School, arrived to assume the designation vacated by Mr. Mayor. Mr. Adayo served for two school years until he was replaced by the present school head, Mrs. Ma. Shella B. Suñas, Head Teacher III from Baao National High School, in 2012. During Mrs. Suñas incumbency as the TIC of the school, she was promoted to School Principal I in one of the schools in the Division.
At present the school is now in its fifteenth (15th) year of operation trying to become a well established secondary learning institution that would continuously produce high performing and service oriented individuals with the leadership of Mr. Robert S. Ablao, Ed. D., Principal I.
